“Angie is Co-Owner and Chief Operations Officer of Home Care Assistance (HCA) of Mississauga and Oakville. Angie comes from a diverse background of finance and media communications. Her past experiences include back office operations in the finance sector where she honed her attention to details and customer service skills. Although successful in the banking industry, Angie had a calling to make a stronger impact socially – she wanted to get back to her passion of making a living by helping people live longer and live better. Angie has been an active member of various charity organizations. Angie understands the challenges people with debilitating injuries and other chronic conditions faced while trying to maintain their independence and dignity. Angie has experienced firsthand challenges the elderly face, when her grandmother suffered a debilitating stroke in 2003. Angie developed a passion for elderly care while being a caregiver to her grandmother. In doing so, she appreciated the importance of aging gracefully, surrounded by family and loved ones in the comfort of their home. Together with her team at HCA, she is determined to Change the Way the World Ages, one client at a time.”

“Matt is President & CEO of Home Care Assistance (HCA) of Mississauga and Oakville. Matt has been in the healthcare industry for nearly 20 years. Matt understands the challenges related to cardiovascular conditions, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other dementia. In his career, Matt has worked closely with community hospitals, nursing homes and independent living facilities. Matt received his MBA from Athabasca University and holds a B.Sc degree. Matt developed his passion for home care while caring for his grandmother who was battling with a terminal illness. He valued his family’s commitment to providing quality of life, while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by loved ones. He understands from personal experience the challenges facing seniors with illnesses and the stress this puts on their loved ones and caregivers. Neesha Bailey B.A, RSSW

Neesha is Care Manager with Home Care Assistance (HCA) of GTA West and Waterloo. Neesha comes from a diverse social service and customer service background. Neesha has a diploma as a social service worker and a BA in Disability Studies from Ryerson University. Her experience includes working as a program counsellor/Learning advisor with at risk youth, working as a Recreation Therapist and a Resident Relations Coordinator in Long Term care homes for over nine years. Neesha has worked as a Case Manager for individuals with Intellectual disability as well as an Intervention Coordinator with the Canadian Deaf Blind Association. Neesha has been working within the community with seniors as a Care Manager for over 5yrs. Neesha’s passion and dedication to her clients and caregivers is always 110% percent, she believes you must always take the time to listen and empathize and treat others the way you want to be treated.

Jeanette Bock
Associate Director, Client Services

Jeanette is an Associate Director of Client Services of Home Care Assistance of GTA West. Jeanette is a focused executive with more than 25 years of award-winning customer service and sales experience. She has a background in working in the hospitality Industry, with a large Shopping Centre Developer and Seniors Retirement living, in sales, business development, customer service and marketing. Although she enjoyed a wonderful career in the shopping centre industry, she looked at a change in careers when her own father went into a healthcare crisis. Jeanette experienced the confusion and emotional turmoil many families suffer, and it ignited a passion to help others going through similar experiences. Jeanette has been an active member of the Oakville community volunteering with “100 Women Who Care Oakville” t “The Gift of Giving Back” food drive and the Oakville Soccer Club.


Nathan Greenlay, B.Sc.(Hons), CCPE
Associate Director, Client Services

Nathan is Associate Director, Client Services of Home Care Assistance Waterloo Wellington. Nathan has spent the last decade helping seniors through transitional times in their lives through his work in the retirement industry. Whether downsizing, moving into retirement living or making some changes after a health crisis, Nathan’s experience in the industry has allowed him to smoothly guide his clients down the path of their choosing. Although his past roles have been primarily sales focused, a positive customer service experience is always top of mind for Nathan. Transitioning from the retirement industry to home care was a natural move as home care allows for more open-ended options and gives Nathan the freedom to truly guide his clients to a result that keeps them well cared for, safe and happy.

Kristin Grant
Brain Health Educator

Kristin has been a service provider within the healthcare industry for over 10 years. Kristin’s education is in Applied Behaviour Analysis; she holds an Advanced Diploma in Behaviour Science from George Brown College, a Psychology degree from Athabasca University, and is completing a second degree in Behaviour Analysis at George Brown College. Kristin has worked in a variety of different settings, supporting many different populations including individuals with acquired and traumatic brain injury, complex mental illness, autism and developmental disabilities, and seniors with varying diagnosis. Kristin has always been passionate about helping people, and has always worked within a person-centred care approach, regardless of her clients age or abilities. She continues to grow and learn with and from the incredible clients she currently works with, with the goal of consistently providing meaningful interactions, compassionate support, and improving their quality of life in any way she can.


Poulami Shah
Client Care Manager

Poulami has over five years of experience in Human Resource Management, Student Counseling and Customer Service but her passion was always to help people in need (social work) and following her passion she topped it up with a Diploma with Honours in Community Developmental Service Worker from Oxford College, Mississauga. Poulami joined Homecare Assistance in May 2020 as a Caregiver. With her dedication and her compassionate care for seniors, she was awarded ‘Caregiver of the year – 2020’ and led her to join the office team as Client Care Manager in February 2022. She is passionate about providing emotional support and enhancing the quality of life of seniors by following balanced care and gentle persuasive approach to make each day enjoyable for them.


June Lapointe
On-Call Manager

June Lapointe was born and raised on the south shore of Montreal. In 1982, at 18, she moved to Kitchener with her parents when her mother got transferred to Prudential Assurance. June attended Wilfrid Laurier University where she obtained a B.A. in psychology. For the majority of her working career, she started in the printing industry when desktop publishing was just starting out in the mid-80s, which included print shops, a short time at the Cambridge Reporter and 14 years at the Kitchener-Waterloo Record, all in the Pre-press Production Departments. June joined us at HCA Waterloo in November of 2019 and has proven herself to be a valuable employee being a weekend On-call Manager and helping with administrative duties and scheduling during office hours.


Olja Važić
Brain Health Educator

Olja started working with Home Care Assistance in November 2021 as a Brain Health Educator focusing on the Cognitive Therapeutics Method (CTM) approach for those with dementia. Olja graduated from the University of Waterloo with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2015. She went on to complete 4 years at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2019. During her studies, she was awarded the Mark A King Memorial Award in 2015, and the Walter Sturdy Memorial Award in 2019. Dr. Vazic then continued to complete a Master of Science in Biomechanics and Neurophysiology at the University of Guelph in 2020. Olja has a genuine passion in working with the senior community, both as a chiropractor, and as a Cognitive Therapeutics Method Interventionist. She is interested in working with patients with dementia because she has experienced firsthand how emotionally challenging this can be for loved ones, and she believes in the evidence-based approach to slow down disease progression.


Allison Brennan
Care Coordinator

Allison comes with personal experience as she cared for her grandmother who had dementia for 15 years with her mother. She understands what it takes to care for the aging population and the stress it can cause family members. Allison has been in senior care industry for nearly 10 years. She started out as a caregiver and decided to pursue her passion by completing Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma program. Allison has worked in various capacities including as a PSW and progressively taking on more managerial responsibilities, most recently as Area Lead. Allison also ran the Nursing Clinic with a reputed home care organization Allison understands what it takes to be successful in the role as a caregiver and brings passion, compassion and empathy to her new role as Care Coordinator for Home Care Assistance.

Sam has Over 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, and auditing in many countries. In his career, Sam has gathered wide experience in service, manufacturing, and retailer industries. Sam is a member in many finance and accounting institutions and he received his U.S CMA from the Institute of Management Accountants and holds a B.Sc degree in Business. Sam appreciates the importance of Home Care - Sam is away from his parents, and he knows how much they are attached to their home and community - an emotion that many seniors share across the country.

Meera Ladani has over three years of experience in research medicines, her passion was always to help people and do needful for the society. To work more closely with the aging population, she did her Healthcare Administration and Service Management Program. She started her career with caregiving in the year 2021. With her commitment and adoration towards what she is doing, she was advanced to administration level. Meera joined our organization recently as Recruitment Coordinator. She is enlisting the staff who make our seniors feel comfortable and secure as well as who can provide emotional support and physical well-being.

Abraham is a dentist from India with a track record of 5 years in the field of Dentistry and Administration. He had been an eminent faculty of a prestigious Dental College and Quality Assurance Manager of an international Dental Lab. To update his knowledge to universal standards, he joined Conestoga college for diploma in Health Care Administration, his chosen field. Since March 2020, he worked as a field staff with Home Care Assistance. His work during the pandemic as a caregiver was empathetic and compassionate. In recognition of his leadership qualities, efficiency and experience, he was promoted to the position of Training and Development Manager. His mandate is to attract, campaign and initiate caring and compassionate caregivers to uphold the value of Home Care Assistance. Abraham epitomizes the essence of what it takes to be a professional in senior care industry.
