During this event, a certified nutrition manager will teach seniors how to prepare single meals that are affordable, well balanced, and healthy. Reservations are required.
3. Christmas at the Lighthouse
This holiday extravaganza will take place at the Port Credit Lighthouse at 105 Lakeshore Road West on December 3rd from 1pm to 6pm. Seniors can spend an exciting day caroling and touring the interactive ice sculptures, and they can also socialize and shop for presents from the dozens of talented vendors at their festive artisan market. The festival will end with a magical tree lighting ceremony. Seniors can also proudly give back to the community by bringing a nonperishable food item to the festival that will be donated to the Compass Food Bank.
4. Holiday Cookie Decorating 101 Workshop
The Evergreen Retirement Community at 820 Scollard Court is hosting this free holiday event on December 13th from 2pm to 3pm. During this event, seniors can socialize while learning a few cookie decorating techniques, and they will also be given everything they need to turn regular cookies into extraordinary themed decorations for the holidays. Reservations are required.
